Tata Motors has confirmed that the Tata Sierra EV will arrive first in early 2026, followed by the much-awaited petrol and diesel versions. This SUV has already been spotted several times in a camouflaged avatar on Indian roads, hinting that the launch timeline is right on track.
Tata Sierra EV To Launch First With Over 500 km Range
Tata Motors showcased the reborn Sierra at the BMGE 2025, and the design is very close to the concept car shown earlier. The Sierra EV is expected to use the Harrier EV’s dual-motor setup, offering all-wheel drive and a claimed driving range of more than 500 km. Tata Sierra Petrol & Diesel Options To Follow EV
While the EV arrives first, Tata will also launch ICE versions later. The petrol Sierra could get a new 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with around 168 PS and 280 Nm, while the proven 2.0-litre diesel engine will continue with nearly 170 PS and 350 Nm. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
